आप पेड़ काटने आए हैं (you’ve come to cut the tree)
तेज़ धूप है, उसिकी छांव में बैठे हैं (it’s hot you sit in it’s shade)
फल आँसू की तरह टपक रहे हैं (fruits are falling like tears)
आप लकड़ी के चाव में बैठे हैं (you sit in wood’s wait)
चिड़ियें सामान बाँध रही हैं (the birds are gathering their belongings)
आप प्रकृति के पाँव में बैठे हैं (you sit in the lap of nature great)
आप शहर में ढूँढ रहे हो (you look for them in the cities)
पेड़ अभी तक गाँव में बैठे हैं (trees still in villages wait)
पीने को पानी, जीने के मानी नहीं (no water to give, no reason to live)
आप अभी तक दाँव में बैठे हैं (you are still sitting with a bait)
आप लकड़ी के ढेर पे पड़े हैं (as you lie on a pile of wood (pyre))
पेड़ नो’ह की नाँव में बैठे हैं (trees are in the noah’s ark, mate)
